Based on pictures from that game they had about half of the east side covered plus a good number of the fans in the end zone last time - whatever amount that is. It was similar weather to what we are expecting tomorrow fwiw

This isn’t necessarily attendance related but is there a reason the cameras show the student side, before the demolition? The home side is always fuller and it would look so much better on tv.
Because that's the side that the media sat on and tv cameras need to be oriented in the same direction. Going forward the media will always be on the east side. The new west side construction will not have any media press boxes
At some point there will be permanent press boxes built on the east side. The temporary ones will be in place until that process begins
