Problem is, our kids don't want to move off campus. My son says he hears constant complaints about on-campus housing [par for the course] so it's surprising, and gratifying, that our kids like staying on campus.
I'd also say that the cost of housing/apartments is a driving factor. What is affordable for a college student may not be available and many of these apartment complexes that cater to college students have their own issues.

UNO and to a lesser degree Tech need to be moved to regional universities status. SLU should replace UNO as a state university.
That's an LSU attitude if I ever heard one. Why would supporters of those schools ever be good with seeing themselves regress?

Never said anything about them liking it. In a business world, this would have already happened.

SUNO, for example, should have been closed after Katrina. Yet, it leaches on.

Contract it out with top priority going to student housing, that way if we regular everyday folk can live there, that way students at the University will always have enough spots

Its ok many decades ago the university admins had the foresight to reserve the Horse Farm for future expansion and housing needs.

    1) Tear down Blackham and barns

    2) rebuild the entire area as "UL City" Modern urban living of shops and student apartments on floors above.

    3) Add large parking garages in back closest to stadiums/dome

    4) When all goes well, do same across Congress.

Could easily triple on campus student population.
