2023 Move in weekend

It is move in weekend yesterday and today. I suspect a very large freshman class. The University took over an extended stay hotel by the airport to house all of them. They had St. Mary Street blocked off yesterday and also today. Lots of traffic on University Ave. and surrounding streets. Dominoes is doing great business. The  sters are overflowing. I wonder what the final count will be.

Speaking if hotels. We need more hotels within walking distance to Cajun Field and the Cajun dome. The Hilton Garden Inn is nice to have but they are always price gouging for events.

How about getting them all to Cajun Field for a football orientation and let them know what is available to them on game days? Let's get the spirit started. Get Des and the players out there. Fire them up!

1st home game is usually the most attended by students then it dies off. We have to find a way to keep them engaged.
