The restrictions the state puts on equal access student support has directly led to this exclusionary option being implemented.

All students eventually get paid back for front porch advertising fees (aka student athletic fees)

The person I spoke to seems to think a bunch of incoming freshmen saw free tailgating and thought this sounds like fun and signed up for it and didn’t even realize they were reserving a spot for the season. He was led to believe this because all the spots were taking so quickly, which has never happened before. It is usually the same suspects who reserve all the spots the fraternities, Chi Alpha, Ragin Cajun Catholics and a few other campus organizations. So if my contacts speculation is accurate you will have a bunch of spots reserved with no one in them.

I do know for a fact that 2 of what are usually the 2 biggest fraternity tailgate groups do not have a spot because they were all reserved.

I am thinking I may offer them my spot for game 1 and tell them to bring loud music beer pong and anything else the university has shut down over the years. We gonna party like it’s 1989.
That's what I'm talkin baw! FdaU!

I think that was the deadline to renew tailgate spots. So it does make sense.

Might be the reasoning behind good for one game only reservations.

I think the Greeks in recent years have had some valid complaints about their treatment from the administration. I’m finding it hard to muster up sympathy here though. No one in a group of what (20-50 guys?) checks their email, and they, as a result, get left out of something. JMO but they might want to pick and choose their battles. If they want to cry “they are trying to snuff out the Greeks” over something as trivial as this (a scenario in which they share blame), it will quickly become a cried wolf culture where they are easily ignored.

Still if they genuinely want spots and weren’t just looking for a reason to dunk on the administration this should be a pretty easy fix. Lord knows we have no shortage of empty spaces on game days.

You know the state of relations between the Greeks and the U is absolute dog s^&* when you see a promotion for a "Greek Night"

What in the hell is that. We never missed one game. Period. A "Greek Night" means they have figured out how to remove the most guaranteed gonna be there drinking beer and flying a Cajuns flag. The Frats.

    Great work.

Sidenote: Kubota running for the Saints tonight against Mitchell and the 49ers. NFL Network.

Greeks are known for one thing in the public eye, partying. For all the good they might do this will never change. So good luck getting sympathy from the community. Especially when all your complaints are about restrictions on partying.

LSU assigns each organization (frats, sororities, etc.) a designated spot on the parade grounds before the season begins. UL should do the same. This isn’t hard.
