Thread: Olde Tyme Pati?

  1. #1

    Default Olde Tyme Pati?

Just saw via commercial real estate updates that owners of Olde Tyme Grocery purchased the old Ground Pati on Johnston St.

Anyone have any idea what they plan to do? Keep Pati open? Second Olde Tyme location that close? Could not imagine them relocating.

Well, that is interesting. Possible relocation?

They aren't moving from their current location. I would expect a different type establishment than Olde Tyme, BJ's (Broussard), or Sandra's (they are all part of the same group.

I'm sure it will be good whatever it is . They know what they're doing

That should be a good location to be successful

Default OT - Lafayette Eats Revisited

Couldn't find the original thread we were discussing food in from a few weeks ago, but MAT gave a vote of confidence for The Ground Pat'i on Johnston St., so I wanted to check it out.

Looks like it has been resuscitated. Burgers and service were excellent. Vibe was great.

Glad to see it back to life.

Wow, thanks for the thread shuffling Turbine lol.

Didn't even remember that Olde Tyme Grocery bought it. Makes sense now.

Edit: It looks like Glenn owns the building but that the owner of the franchise version of Ground Pat'i opened (moved) in the Johnston location.

Not really sure but whatever they're doing is working.

We’ve been too many times to admit since the relaunch. They’ve really done it right. Glad others are having the same experience.

I must have missed the original thread. This is good to know. Going to have to go back sometime soon. Ground Pati was my favorite burger joint growing up.

Rick Cambre, the owner of the franchise, who had the Ground Pati on the corner of Kaliste and Ambassador, has done a great job bringing back the charm and atmosphere of the original Pati.

By the way, the old reel to reel player on the back wall doesn't work anymore, so Rick was looking for someone to fix it. I got him in touch with several possibilities, but not sure if it has been fixed yet. Rick found 5 original reels with the music and would love to play them. So if anyone on board the RP knows how or know anyone who can fix the real to real player, I'm sure Rick Cambre will make it worth their while.
