Thread: Experience Cajun Culture At This Underrated Louisiana Town With New Orleans Vibes

  1. Default Experience Cajun Culture At This Underrated Louisiana Town With New Orleans Vibes

New Orleans, considered one of the best destinations in the United States for weddings, has a little bit of everything for everybody. It's filled with historical sites galore, spooky attractions, and much more. At the core of it all is the city's vibrant Cajun food and music scene.

However, despite its notoriety, New Orleans is not the only metropolis in Louisiana. There's another spectacular city that has many of the same offerings: Lafayette. Located less than three hours from New Orleans, this is the place to go if you truly want to immerse yourself in Louisiana's famed Cajun culture.

What Notre Dame is to Irish Culture, is what UL needs to be to Cajun Culture. Without harping on the fact we need a festival type atmosphere and a gator as a mascot, we need to incorporate more Cajuney type stuff in our game day atmosphere!

New Orleans isn’t even located in what is considered actual Cajun Country.

    6 Games.

    6 Festivals. Bands events etc.

    6 Cookoffs

6 Secondary mascots to compliment the Aligator.

    6 Themes.

In addition to tailgating have free picnic days at intramural field.

Good time to let the offseason festivals promote their festival.

I've always wondered about this. McDonald's, Chili's, you name it. Heck, Red Lobster used to do quite well in Lafayette!
