How you figure based on the play on the field. Is our record much better with Fields vs Wooldridge? Is his TD to INT ratio that much better? Total TDs to total turnovers? 3rd down conversion percentage? Yards per attempt?
If I had to guess, I’d say the one and only objective category where Fields is probably a lot better than Wooldridge would be completion percentage. However, what does the yards per attempt and yards per completion look like?
HS coaches come spend a day or more with tapes, live practices, one on one meetings with position coaches, and complete game strategies for discussion——-sometimes the HS coaches per Bear Bryant help the college game…..the real key is with adjusting your offense and def to employ the plans that your personal can best perform with at what level!
I like having this issue.
I’ll wait and see. I think our #1/#2 QBs need a really strong OL. I don’t think we’ll have one at any time during season. I dread what I see as a long season. I worry a lot.
Hope I’m way off but I’m not excited about this team. Said same thing 1963-2012. Wrong a few years. Not many.
OL has 4 starters returning plus Fordham kid who played center in latter part of season. They should be improved. Agree that success of that unit will be key. Especially so since Dez wants to average 30 rushing plays per game. If they do that, passing game will have less pressure on it.
Both Fields and Wooldridge are serviceable QB's. Nothing more. When they aren't hurt, that is.
Levi was a damn good QB for our program. I know he drove fans crazy at times, myself included, but our program isn’t getting a Joe Burrow or Tim Tebow walking through that door. Folks here would have been losing their mind in Delhomme throwing too many INTs or Mitchell “only” being able to run.
