Hogan is mowing. Spencer got knocked around a bit but got through 6 innings

Harris and the A’s lead Arrighetti and the Astros 4-0 with 2 outs in the top of the 7th.

And Harris is being taken out after a 2 out walk while I’m typing this

All good, pen didn’t implode as usual. Hogan leaves with a great line and his ERA moved under 3 (2.98).

    Arrighetti pulled after 6 full.

Really enjoyed that. Spencer had the one inning get away from him a little but still a solid night if he got run support. Too bad for him that Hogan was on the other end (and the infield defense turning 3 dps) and didn’t let the Astros sniff a run

Just hope the A’s hold on, nice to pick up a win returning from paternity leave. Makes for a “everything is right in the world” moment which is so rare in life.

    Great game!

A’s win, Seth Brown flipped us the ball that got Harris out of a bases loaded jam with a double play and my son commented that the game was the best part of our vacation.

A memorable way to watch my final game at the Oakland Coliseum!

    Geaux Cajuns!

P.S. a 2-Hour game with the pitch clock. Wow, I hated it at first, but I’m on board now!!!!

Hand to God I was wrong about the pitch clock as well. It is fantastic. I will never be on board with the DH in the NL or robo umps - come and take it!

One could argue that pitchers dont actually pitch against each other
