Thread: John Roveto

  1. #1

    UL Football John Roveto

Was just in Vegas for the WSOP and got to play with John Roveto for a very long time. We actually both made it to the final table of a 1,237 person field. I finished 3rd, he finished 6th. We had great conversations about the teams he played on (we both agreed that Calvin James was the most talented Cajun to ever grace the field).

He is living in Sarasota, FL and doing well.

It is always a pleasure to meet Ragin' Cajuns in the wild.

Neither of us cashed in the WSOP Seniors, but more than made up for it in this one.

Did you transfer in from Auburn? He mentioned a backup QB that came in from Auburn that was really talented.

No...I held for John my senior year, his sophomore year. He's talking about Hal King who transferred from Auburn.

Good guy. Calvin may have been the most athletically gifted.
