Not sure if she is going to leave. Reports say she has already made $60k from her local NIL deals and gotten an automobile. She is going into her last year of eligibility. Last year was a down year for her production wise. For her to leave, someone would have to pony up more than she is getting for her last year here and take the chance that she will get back to her form a couple of years ago.

According to a report I saw just now, none of the names that announced are actually in the portal yet FWIW

2024 was Sam’s lowest ERA in a season and her most innings pitched (both by a pretty good margin).

Great job by Dr. Maggard. Wasted no time and snagged what seems like a great coach. I’m inclined to think he had knowledge of Glasco’s decision to leave before the announcement, and he was working behind the scenes. Cajun softball fans went from concerned to optimistic and excited in the blink of an eye. GEAUX CAUNS

About a month ago, a friend of mine called the Softball office to get her daughter enrolled in the Softball camp.

She was told UL Softball wasn't having one this year.

To add to the conspiracy, was at a softball gathering in May. Gerry told me he was seriously thinking about retiring. A few moments later, someone told me if Gerry would retire that they hoped we'd get Coach Alyson to come. Could be Coincidental?
