Thread: Glasco leaving

Too many people still worry about a coach leaving. If you have successful programs that’s what happens. The AD has to earn his money and continue to go after the best coaching talent.

I want us replacing every coach every 4 years. That’s means they either won big and moved on or failed and we made a change. A coach should never be hired for the idea of them staying forever.

I'm just wondering what high school coach our AD is thinking of hiring next.

Would encourage programs to push for ticket sales and attendance. Win/win.
Folks complained about ticket masters fees.

AD should take a pay cut when your department is
    8 million in the red

Read it again. Not complaining about them, but clearly it wasnt more than the 5 stars that kept choosing p5 just to have their value lowered

If we want to keep up with the Jones', we will never operate in the green. I am sure they can fudge some numbers and line items to make it look better like other schools do, but let's face it... we aren't making money off of athletics right now, and it doesn't look like that will be remotely possible for the foreseeable future.

Fudge is the operative word. The RCAF General Fund is used to fill the gaps in Actual Funds used and the Budget. That is no secret. There are a few ancillary fees that are also used from the University side. There have been years where both Baseball and Softball have stayed in the black. To my knowledge going back to before Scott Farmer, neither program has made money.
