Louisiana will do less and less and less in all athletics if they are not able to raise NIL dollars . . . I have been saying this for a while and I will continue to say this til things change . . . we just had one of our better coaches leave because he could not compete at the desired level without NIL from some source at Louisiana . . . Can’t get better evidence than that . . .

    Sam Landry for sure.

I just read a Texas Tech article that praised Glasco for leading Louisiana to host their first Regional in 7 years. Guess how long he's been our coach? Yep, you guessed it, 7 years. Prior to his arrival we hosted a regional 4 of the previous 5 years.

    Yeah?
How much are you giving to NIL, Vic?

So is basketball the only sport on campus where current coach is more successful than predecessor? Or basketball and volleyball?

But the Lotief cult will still scream that if we hadn’t fired him, we’d be WCWS and National Champ contenders every season.

I would rather see the program fold before giving a dime to NIL. Paying athletes is not a priority.

Lotief hosted a regional for 4 of the last 5 seasons before they slandered and fired him. Your man took 7 years to accomplish that once. Under Lotief, 7 Super Regionals and 3 World Series. The proof is in the record books.

Actually, we did not host Lotief’s last season, if our own website is correct.

Also, are you going to deny the game has changed over the past years? Lotief tried to blow up the program on his way out the door, Glasco had to rebuilt the roster, and the big boys were throwing more money at the sport. Hell, they started that during Lotief’s last few years.

And do you care to document the slander for all of us here?

If Justin, Shellie or Lacey are hired we are done as supporters.

Texas Tech is a ____ job. 5 coaches in the last 7 years. Glasco had to take what was available. He didn't get hired at the other place he interviewed at.

Actually he won his slander suit against the university. You can look it up and read the results of the universities own investigation. Other than the one support staff member and one player that made unsubstantiated allegations, every player supported him. Not one of them witnessed any of the things he was accused of. In fact, nearly all of them defended their coach with written statements.
