The two founders and co-CEOs of Double Eagle are Tech grads, with one of them, Cody Campbell (Cody Campbell Field) having played football there. Either his wife or a daughter played softball at Tech.

Hence the desire to want to pump some money into the Tech softball program after he’s already put a ton into football.

Anne Burnett, the owner of the 6666 Ranch in Guthrie County and the Triangle Ranch in SW Oklahoma donated an unrestricted gift of $200,000,000 to Tech several years ago, and there are very wealthy farmers and ranchers all over the Permian Basin who are Tech graduates. In the interest of fairness, Ms. Burnett also donated $200,000,000 to TCU and another $200,000,000 to the City of Ft. Worth.

I didnt say it was empty, but our actual attendance numbers were nowhere close to reported attendance this year -- in either diamond sport.

I don't know a single person or family our age that bought season tickets for diamond sports. Everyone who went to games did so because they got tickets from their boss or a family member.

UL's fanbase is shrinking -- even in the sports once thought to be immune from it -- and because of it the pool of money available to keep us competitive is shrinking as well. On the other hand Texas Tech is exploding

The 6666 ranch just sold to a group led by Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan for $192M. Which is about half of the appraised value.

Danke..... i was attemtping to reference the golf scoring system. But i am not a golfer.
Thought it was par; birdie, eagle, then hole in one (or ace) or vice versa.....
So "double" eagle, i.e. twice as good could be a hole in one or ace. Unless the double verbiage only applies to bogey
