This is a great softball HC job. We should get some great candidates.
Yes, I agree, we won't have a shortage of interested candidates but, if he does leave, which isn't confirmed, who will he take with him?

He has till noon tomorrow to let TTech AD know his decision.

TTU has more resources overall, sure. But starting from scratch after building your program into a national contender again?

Tech has little to no history. 1 ncaa appearance in over a decade. Only a handful overall. No super regional appearances. A tiny ball park.

The big 12 will be different without OU and Texas. You’ve still got OSU, Baylor but it’s not the same.

It’s his choice, but I hope UL throws some money his way.

I never said that. The other site is a Cajun sport site. Very little softball talk.

From what I heard it wasn't own the private site until the news broke today. Apparently our coach was considering another job while the Stanford pitcher was not giving UL consideration.

Isn’t one of the exceptions to the portal closing time period is a coaching change?

Yes, and he will probably take a few players with him.

    Good information being shared there?

I wonder what the buyout is with Glasco signing a contract until 28 just last year. If he goes, could have a little cash to throw around.

If anyone can weather a coaching change, it’s softball.

I've been told there is an exception when a coach leaves. I don't agree with a coach being able to take numerous players with him. It's kind of like corporate raiding.

They also now have UCF and Houston. 2 southern schools with money. Detriment for Texas Tech is cold and wind early in season

Does that mean the school he goes to has to reimburse us

You heard wrong. Every school is giving consideration when you don't list any school as a do not contact destination.

It was a contact so I can imagine there’s a penalty for breaking it in either side. Someone will pay.
