    Lotief couldn't win now either..

UL was screwed a decade ago when bigger schools with more money suddenly started taking softball seriously..

Also, are you going to deny the game has changed over the past years? Lotief tried to blow up the program on his way out the door, Glasco had to rebuilt the roster, and the big boys were throwing more money at the sport. Hell, they started that during Lotief’s last few years.

And do you care to document the slander for all of us here?

I have no doubt Lotief would have continued to win without missing a beat but I still think it is a great achievment for Glasco to bring the program back to host status.

The M.L. and UL thing is done. No need to be like Lot’s wife and look back and be salty.

    FIFY. Cannot USL another hire.

This is the most important hire Maggard makes. Obviously he missed on FB, can’t afford to miss another major hire in the eyes of the fans.

The landscape sure has changed a lot in the last 7 years.

the landscape has changed the most in the last two years

free transfers and virtually no NIL at Louisiana will be the largest barrier to competing at the highest level now even for the diamond sports

forget about it in football and basketball

Louisiana better start getting happy with an expectation of being able to compete for conference championships as a top realistic goal

did you see the number of transfers in the line up and on the mound that made up the teams competing in the MCWS in baseball and the WCWS in softball

did you see the transfers on LSU’s baseball championship team last year

look at basketball . . . each season now from the top to the bottom will be rinse and repeat where you compete in the portal at your respective level of available NIL

it appears that the driving force behind why Glasco left is his belief that even the proven method of his successful recruiting was now in jeopardy because of lack of NIL

let’s face it, with Louisiana’s current NIL or lack there of situation, things are going to get tougher rather than easier going forward in ALL sports

if it must be pointed out, the two operative words are “further” and “either” and when those are seen as the operative words . . . HE HAS A POINT
