Perhaps Dr. Maggard should just call Aly for a recommendation. I mean, she was the one who recommended Glasco for the UL job.
I will say this. LSU must have gotten an infusion of NIL money from their booster collective. They picked up Lassiter from Ole Miss yesterday and Hodge from OU today.

Not bad, but you've got several better facilities in the Sun Belt. Lamson is head and shoulders above that at over a decade old and they've still got upgrades to do.
The reality is NIL has infiltrated all the top college sports. Softball has become no different. I read an article yesterday that there are 132 college baseball coaches or programs scouting the Cape Cod Wooden Bat league this summer. Players are being contacted whether or not they are in the portal. This is becoming ridiculous and the NCAA is impotent in enforcement.
If UL Softball supporters want to continue to be a Top 25 program in this environment, they had better start contributing to NIL at UL.
Here’s a quote from Maggard in today’s Advocate:
“Here’s the reality, the landscape has changed and it’s about to change even more,” Maggard said. “Starting next year, schools that can and will have an opportunity to revenue share up to $20 million with their student athletes, they’ll still have the collectives going, they’ll be able to maximize roster scholarships – so softball would have a set roster of say 27 maximum and all 27 will be on a full ride.
Basically, he’s saying we’re effed and Glasco sees the writing on the wall.
