Mason Landreth qualified for the ITF 15k in August after reaching the UTSA Pro Circuit Southern Playoff Series finals at the Clayton County Tennis Center in Jonesboro, Georgia.
The Acadiana native started the event with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Bradey Minnich of The Citadel. He then knocked off BYU's Tygen Goldammer, 6-3, 2-0 (ret.) to reach the quarterfinals. There he beat top-seeded Zachery Foster of Alabama, 6-4, 6-2.
In the semifinals, Landreth needed three sets to defeat Hayden Shoemake of The Citadel, 6-3, 7-6 (7-2), 10-3. His run ended in the finals against NC State's William Manning, 6-2, 6-2.
Landreth earned a wild card spot in the ITF 15k for reaching the finals. That event begins August 12 in Huntsville, Alabama.
