I met Jerry in 1996 when I returned to UL to get my degree. Over the next 8 years, he was a tremendous help to me in the Health and Physical Education Department, and became my friend. He was a great leader, an asset to this university and a blessing to all who met him. Please be in prayer for his family.
So long, Jerry. I'll see you soon.

He was a great person and loved UL academics and athletics. Will miss him at the various sports’ support group meetings. Always insightful and hopeful.

RIP. Did not know him, but always saw him around. The fireworks story on his tribute wall made me laugh. Seems like a terrific guy.

RIP Doc. He was our department head while I was in college. Had a few classes with him. He loved UL.
