    Good hire for the Coogs.

Can't wait to see what Glasco brings in next. I'm sure he had a notion this was a possibility and was scouting.

Conspiracy theories are only theories until they are proven right. I'm surprised anyone wanted this job.

    Wouldn’t that be considered nepotism?

Hargis didn't endear himself to the parents and big money baseball donors at STM.

Jut must really want out of UL if he wants to go deal with that mess

this and he has been working privately with STM baseball players for years so don’t think he is not intimately familiar with what he is getting into

football and basketball staffs have been in tack since almost the beginning of the school

baseball has always been very suspect when Perkins was there

not familiar with any of the coaches since Perkins but obviously it didn’t work out

this may be the start of very competent coaching staff in baseball like they have in basketball and football

What would you say makes that school so successful in athletics? Coaching? Money? Or both?

Coaching is always #1. Football and basketball aren't necessarily putting out a ton of D1 talent. They play extremely well as teams and buy into successful, proven systems.

Kim Broussard is also a very good athletic director and represents the program extremely well.

    coaching, coaching, coaching

remember years ago the Knights wanted to build an indoor practice and weight facility

the administration wanted a library so they got nothing

its definitely not money at the high school level

which is why there was little success winning state in baseball

the AD, head basketball coach and head football coaches have been there for ages and are all older and at the end of their careers

this may also be something that was looked at by JR (or maybe promised to him) in making his decision
