With 4 teams from the ACC and 4 teams from the SEC making it in, the tournament committee could've set these brackets up in a number of different ways. I personally think they did it the most intriguing way by putting 3 SEC teams in one bracket with NC State as the fourth team and 3 ACC teams in the other bracket with Tennessee as the fourth team. This will be fun to watch!

They do. They aren’t re-seeded or “placed” anywhere other than before the Regionals begin.

Where the 8 teams are today is based solely on where they were to begin the postseason.

Before Texas A&M lost their All American 3-hole hitter AND their #2 starting pitcher in the last 2 weeks, I felt like it would be Tennessee and A&M in the championship series.

Now, I agree with you. Kentucky will be hard to beat on their side of the bracket. They do EVERYTHING well. And that park benefits the way they play.
