MLB does play on Thursday but it’s normally a short schedule. Mondays and Thursdays are the days when teams will typically have their off days. Everyone plays on Tuesday-Wed-and Fri-Sun

Yesterday being the 4th, ALL teams played. Which is why there were only 3 games this week on Monday
