Coach Glasco has stated more than once that she doesn’t know how good she really is. I’m not sure if that’s just coach speak, but she’s running out of time to show that she can be an elite pitcher. She has not come close to showing that she can be that elite pitcher, in my humble, unqualified opinion.

At this point, we don’t have a pitcher capable of getting us TO the WCWS, much less winning the whole thing.

Great point. Being 3rd string on your own team at your position kind of leaves one struggling for use of the term "elite".

Meanwhile, i thought portal closing means no new players can enter, but teams dont have to stop selecting players from the portal on that date, (but not that you said that)
