Louisiana Track and Field opened the NCAA National Championships in Eugene, Oregon with a pair of top 20 finishes on Wednesday.
The night opened with the 4x100, featuring Trejun Jones, Zakhy Munro, Floyd Pond, and Jamhad Booth. With a time 39.88
The Sun Belt Conference champions finished 19th in the country.
Javed Jones closed the night in the 400H. The two-time SBC champion finished 15th at 50.47.
Louisiana will be represented on Friday night in the triple jump finals by Jeremy Nelson with that event scheduled to start at 8:20 p.m. from Eugene.
