Arizona State has been to a regional three times in the last 8 years. Made the regional tournament in 2016, 2019 and 2021. This is why they were willing to overpay for Martinez when other programs were not. They are not relevant as they had been in the past.

To be honest, I did not realize that Arizona St. program had declined to that extent. Interesting fact, they are 1st in total number of alumni to ever play in Major League Baseball.

I just saw the Fall Baseball Roster. Looks like all the transfers made it to campus and are on the roster. They might be overshadowed by what looks to be a very talented freshman class though. I know its football season but never too early to be interested in Cajun baseball, especially since my Astros are done.
