The portal is one reason I've totally lost interest in football and basketball as a Cajun fan. Hard to develop continuity and a following with the constant loss of the best players in those sports.

Softball only has two in the portal. Compared to other schools that is great. From my understanding we aren't expecting to lose any more. However things could always change.

I don’t blame the players at all. The system is what it is. And like I said, it’s a sad state of affairs.

A 250 school minor league affiliate for 40 or so schools to pluck from.

It took me until 40 years old to accept that money rules all and that was only 3 years ago. Control what you can control, play the cards your dealt, constantly try to improve yourself and family, and be thankful for what you have and to be alive and healthy while you are healthy. So much easier now.
