MBB: Louisiana Adds Veteran Presence with the Signing of Cook

Louisiana men's basketball announced the signing of Zeke Cook to the 2024-25 roster on Monday, June 3. Cook comes to the Ragin' Cajuns with one year of eligibility after spending the last two seasons at Jackson State.

"Zeke is a tough-minded player who is a tenacious rebounder and tough defender," said head coach Bob Marlin. "We're excited for what he brings to our culture."

Cook, a 6-6 forward from Pheba, Mississippi, led the Tigers in rebounding at 6.7 per game last season. He averaged 6.7 points per game, scoring in double figures five times. On November 25, Cook recorded the fifth double-double of his Jackson State career, with 17 points and 10 rebounds at Georgetown. The 17-point performance matched a career-high, which he also did against Florida A&M the year prior.

In his Tiger career, he scored 437 points and grabbed 396 rebounds in 63 games with 43 starts. Cook also led the team in steals last season with 43.

Cook played at Northeast Mississippi Community College for two seasons before playing at Jackson State. As a sophomore, he averaged 12.2 points per game and 11.3 rebounds, grabbing 15 or more boards in a game eight times.

Cook joins a reloaded Cajun roster in 2024-25 that includes fellow signees Jeremiah Evans (Forward/Southwood High School), Kyndall Davis (Forward/Eastern Illinois), Mostpaha El Moutaouakkil (Guard/Indian River State), Christian Wright (Guard/Oregon State), and Koron Davis (Guard/Louisville)
