I think a lot of people saw that coming. Still confused as to how a 30 plus RPI team gets to host.

(Still bitter about losing to them in 16. Even though they ran all the way to the finals of the CWS. We played a wonderful game to get in the cat bird seat ((double squeeze stands out)) but they somehow mustered up pitching from guys who must have had dead arms.)

They also threw that poor kid close to or over 100 pitches twice that weekend. Did it again in Omaha and blew out his arm

Yes, that was his first year at Arizona. Bannister was the pitchers name. Just looked him up. He was a 28th round pick that year by the Mariners. Pitched 2 years, made it to AAA, and then released. However, they offered him a job in the organization as a pitching coach in the Dominican Summer League in 2019. He is currently the pitching coach at Grand Canyon, where they took 2 of 3 from Arizona in the regular season before defeating them last night in their own regional.
