Yes, that was his first year at Arizona. Bannister was the pitchers name. Just looked him up. He was a 28th round pick that year by the Mariners. Pitched 2 years, made it to AAA, and then released. However, they offered him a job in the organization as a pitching coach in the Dominican Summer League in 2019. He is currently the pitching coach at Grand Canyon, where they took 2 of 3 from Arizona in the regular season before defeating them last night in their own regional.
