We were in an ECU regional - as the #2 seed.

When was that? Didnt we host as the 2 seed with ECU here as the 1 seed. Don’t remember why, maybe their facilities were up to par at the time?

Im sure Nicholls and Tulane were thrilled flying halfway across the country to play each other.

I’m thankful TSAB sucked just enough not to host. Otherwise it would have been TAAB, Grambling, and two out of UL, Nicholls, Tulane and Ruston.

And the surprise team so far? UCONN…WTH?

We hosted as the #2 seed in 2000 b/c they announced the hosts before the regular season ended. Cajuns then got swept at home by UNO and likely dropped from the final #1 seed due to that.

Kinda worked out though!

Wasn’t sure about the reason, but I certainly remember hosting as the 2, and ECU being the 1. And definitely don’t remember the Cajuns ever playing in a regional in Greenville.

That seems excessive. But it’s good to have a committee member.

Yes, this is to what I was referring. I was taking some liberty with your phrase “ECU Regional”. We were in a regional with ECU where they were the 1 seed (and we were the 2).

Their facilities were under renovation at the time.

Well, I have not seen it come up here, but I’m very thankful we didn’t do like CCU and fall victim to the hidden ball trick that Clemson pulled off. All over the World Wide Web on multiple platforms.
