I have to admit, Des picking up some pretty good dudes, on paper anyway. I hope it translates to helping out with wins.

…….So is there a private money amount to their schooly? Not knowing much about the NIL plan, do the transfers always involve bucks? I guess I hate the whole thing but love that these kids can get some monetary reward!

Just looked over our schedule again to make sure we’re going undefeated. Yep. Undefeated.

Our football and basketball athletes get full cost of attendance. That generally involves a stipend for living expenses beyond the tuition, fees, books etc. I believe we are the only G5 school in Louisiana that offers this besides Tulane. NIL deals are different. Those are private deals between an individual/collective and the athlete.

Did the Baudoin kid play much at Tulane?

RS his Fr. Year. If he had played much, he would be looking elsewhere. He moves well for a big guy, but he needs work.

That’s why I was asking. Saw him a couple times in high school and, while he’s pretty athletic for his size, he didn’t make many plays. And spent a lot of time on the ground.

Hopefully he’s made some strides since then. He certainly has the physical tools

Look at the offers out of HS for these 3 guys:

    Lara--QB from K-State
    Kansas State
    Fresno State
    Iowa State
    Kansas
    Oklahoma State
    Washington State
    William and Mary

    Alexander--OT from Mississippi State
    Alcorn State
    Florida
    Indiana
    Georgia
    Memphis
    Ole Miss
    Oregon
    South Carolina
    Texas
    Utah
    Mississippi State

    Baudoin--DT Tulane
    Tulane
    Arizona State
    Arkansas
    Auburn
    Duke
    Florida
    Florida State
    Georgia
    Houston
    Indiana
    Kansas
    Kentucky
    Louisiana
    Michigan State
    Ole Miss
    Penn State
    Southern Miss
    Tennessee
    Texas
    USC
    UVA

Not a bad list of schools for any of the 3 guys. At some point in their careers at UL these three guys will complete for starting spots. I am intrigued by Lara from K-State, not a big QB at 6'0.

Looks like he has a strong arm from his highlights and is very athletic. I think the only thing I saw in his highlights is he has the tendency to get a little "happy feet" sometimes in the pocket and throw off of his back foot a little too much.

. . . there is hope for you here . . . but it is about as much hope as DJT had with that jury in Manhattan
