What about her play this year makes you think she is a future star? I am not trying to disparage the young lady at all but curious as to the metrics you apply to a player to determine "star" status.
Speed translates into a lot of other things. You have to remember this kid played high school ball only and walked on to the team. Girls that have been playing travel ball since they are 7 years old have way more reps than her. She needs reps. Her speed, bunting and defense in my opinion are already elite. She just needs to see more pitching. Playing this summer will help her take another step in her development. I am guessing you haven't seen her play.

She has elite speed. She also has outstanding instinctual response time to fly balls, very good glove control and a very good arm. Defensively, she is equipped for stardom as she is.

Offensively she just needs reps at the plate. Her production at the plate was very good this year given the small sample size. Her OB% was .438, good for 3rd among position players behind Davis and Valdez. She had more RBI/AB than Davis, Falterman or Hayden and was 7/8 in stolen bases.

I would say that her numbers validate her potential to be a star player here. Extra reps can only help her.

Again, before anyone jumps my case, I acknowledge the small sample size is not a guarantee that her performance would be as good with 130 AB rather than 13, but her numbers do indicate significant potential for stardom.

I'm probably going to get blasted and that's ok. From watching her play all season long, I just don't see what you are seeing.

as she only had 13 AB’s the whole season, other than running the bases, you could not have seen her much

she was 7 for 8 on stolen bases

all too much of a small sample size to judge except as has been ide tidied above, she has speed and speed provides lots of potential in SB, especially the way Louisiana plays

even with her limited appearances at the plate, she did bat over .300

lots of optimism and promise with this player

Good to see that Ms. Williams has achieved her funding goal to participate in the Lone Star State Collegiate League this summer. Best of luck to her.

    A. Is there any guarantee that if cajuns NIL fund this endeavor that she would not still be eligible to leave via portal in fall?

    B. Wouldnt this mean the teams themselves can now pay in these situations. Like how the cape cod league was exempt from rules against paying for housing and other expense and giving out noshow jobs for their p5 players, but now shoukd be abke to openly pay "legally"

Speed will sometimes get you those inside the park homeruns.
