If rule #2 didn't exist last year, Cajuns probably don't beat LSU.

Pretty sure they just put them on, which in no way changes my opinion.

College baseball just puts them on. Don’t like it. Feel like they should have to pitch.

Thanks for proven my point. That is why the rule needs to be changed for fairness and consistency. Either both should have to pitch or neither should have to pitch. Not one does and one doesn't. For the record I think both should have to pitch.

You think they should have to pitch, which is the rule now, as you say in post 1 point 2, but want that rule changed?

See post #16. It needs changing for fairness and consistency.

Why not have baseball change? What else is consistent between baseball and softball? Either both a mound or both a circle, pick one... Should baseball go down to 7 innings (id say yes for amateur, but i know most wont)

Beat me to it. I like having to pitch because anything can happen like it did in BR last year. That pitcher was so rattled in that situation so an advantage is gained by the batter.

They need to bring it back in baseball.

so you want pitchers to earn that walk

with all of the issues surrounding over use, the trade off between reducing use and having the pitcher earn the walk need to be weighed

I tend to lean towards not making the pitcher earn that walk

making the pitcher pitch takes away anywhere from 4% to 7% of their actual pitches pitched, a pretty good penalty in the trade off

If rules should be consistant between baseball and softball, should softball players have to wear hats and should softball coaches wear the uniform?
