I don’t care how tough your schedule is, at some point you have to win.

    Florida making it is ridiculous.

I know it’s not this black and white, but there’s no proof that Florida would win against an easier schedule nor any other school would lose against a harder schedule. Fact is MANY teams fared better against the schedule that they played than Florida. Perform well in the SEC and you’re a virtual lock for a regional host and likely top 8 seed. What’s the downside? There is none right now and that’s the issue.

that is why Glasco played the schedule he played in softball and was rewarded for it

If strength if schedule is part of rpi why should that be listed as 3 reasons

As far as I can tell UC Santa Barbara is hosting at their home field. I looked it up, Caesar uyesaka stadium. It holds 1,000 people and looks like a real dump. Isn’t there certain facility criteria to host?

Yes, but they meet the criteria. For capacity, they can bring in extra seating. Duke did as well (not a great facility).

this is probably an instance where geography was the primary factor in granting the host to UC Santa Barbara

Did San Diego put in a bid to host? Guessing they would host ahead of the Cajuns for the supers if it came to that.

Figured seating could be added temporarily. What about press requirements? Box looks high school
