Ever wonder why baseball and softball players all wear the exact same shoes, which looks great, but basketball players wear any shoe, any color, they want which looks terrible? That is true at every school, not just UL. That never used to be the case as I recall. Just looks like a lack of discipline with the players. It is apparently a minor issue, but it has always bugged me as a horrible look for the team.

I remember the first time the basketball team all wore black shoes for the first time under Marty Fletcher in 92 I think. Everyone made a big deal out of it. Western Kentucky kicked our ass that game and I’m pretty sure we didn’t wear them again that season.

I remember in the Bo Lamar era when the team came out with red converse basketball shoes. All wore the same shoes. Looked really good. Did this change go all the way back to '92?
