Because he has the fewest strikeouts this year out of all the mainstays in the lineup. He typically has great at-bats and doesn't cheat himself out of an AB.

Observations from this season:
Conner Higgs, and Lee Amedee should NOT be in the lineup against lefties….lee is in a bad slump and Higgs is a roller coaster….. Yuhaz needs to be in the game as does robichaux….Alexander has had a rough 2 months and looks so uncomfortable at the plate… we need to bunt more to score runners. Tough day, but maybe we respond tomorrow.
