The umps just gave App State the bad news that Beach’s bat is in fact legal. The Coastal dugout erupts … and this one is getting chippy.

Beach then goes off the LF wall for a double, Barthol stops at third after being unsure whether the ball was going to be caught. Runners at second and third, 1 out.

They’ll be 34-23 (10-14 outside of their home park), finished in 7th place in the SBC, and will have gone 0-2 in the double elimination portion of the conference tourney.

9 AM game not restarting till 7PM. SM up in the 5th.

Not sure how they handle this one. Maybe the if necessary games tomorrow AM. And push back championship? Regardless, going to be a late one tonight for GS/JM.

That was an exciting finish to Southern Miss and App State. Expected nothing less from App State, challenging USM in the B9th (bases loaded). They are scrappy. Southern Miss wins 7-5.

App was my dark horse.

I was able to spend some time talking with some of the App State parents, including Austin St. Laurent's Dad. Good folks that love and support their team. They can certainly light up the scoreboard.
