We had almost no shot at a national championship anyway and it would have hurt to lose at any point, but definitely hurts more losing at home especially the way we did. In the end, Baylor was just better than we were this year. At least we achieved our goal of getting a regional in Lafayette.

Vasquez is not slow. She has good, not great, speed.

My only comment on sending Vasquez in the sixth is Davis is up next. She is almost impossible to double up and there was only one out at the time. Wonder if that crossed Coach Glasco’s mind when he made the decision. Granted you have to make the decision in a nano second.

Not the reason we lost. Miscues in the field did that. Especially Ellestad missing that ball thrown from the outfield to let that runner get to 3rd. That was the game winner.
