It means it gives the committee an out to never award us a host site again. Baylor is good but they ain’t great. I feel the same about us. Proud of the team but nowhere near 13th best in the nation.

That a tad overdramatic. We last hosted in ‘16. I doubt that when we are in this position in the coming years the committee will look back on the ‘24 results. It doesn’t work that way.

Didn’t the Cajuns win their regional in 2016 to advance to a super? Why would winning a regional at home have any negative effect on future national seeds?

Very surprised by the poor effort all around, especially defense early and not competing at the plate. We gave up a total of 2 earned runs and got 2 singles.

The No. 13 national seed Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball team fell behind in the second inning and dropped an 8-0 (5 inn.) contest to Baylor on Saturday, May 18 in the winner's bracket final of the NCAA Lafayette Regional held at Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park.
