Bon Jovi: RAISE YOUR HANDS (With a UL SIGN)
You, you got a nasty reputation
We're in a sticky situation
It's down to me and you
So tell me, is it true?
They say there ain't nobody better
Well, now that we're together
Show me what you can do
You're under the gun, out on the run
Gonna set the night on fire
Out on the run, under the gun
Playin' to win
(Raise your hands) When you want to let it go
(Raise your hands) When you want to let a feeling show
(Raise your hands) From Maurice to Mandeville
(Raise your hands) From Vermilion to White Castle
(Raise your hands)
I, I've been out on the front line
Where you'll go down if you waste time
They'll walk all over you
But I, I ain't here looking for surrender
I'll raise the flag if you'll defend her
It's up to you
You're under the gun, out on the run
Gonna set the night on fire ("Ablaze in Vermilion)
Out on the run, under the gun
Playin' to win
(You've got to raise your hands) When you want to let it go
(Raise your hands) When you want to let a feeling show
(Raise your hands) From Lafayette to the Gulf
(Raise your hands) From New Iberia to Iota
(Raise your hands)
(Raise your hands)
All right, let's go
Raise your hands
Raise your hands
(Raise your hands) When you want to let it go
(Raise your hands) When you want to let a feeling show
(Raise your hands) From Morgan City To Alexandria
(Raise your hands) From the Lake to the Basin
(Raise your hands)
(Raise your hands) LOUISIANA
(Raise your hands) Ragin Cajuns
(Raise your hands) LOUISIANA
(Raise your hands) GEAUX
(Raise your hands) CAJUNS
Every time I hear this song, I think how incredible it would be with:
1. New LED light show
2. Marching band finds a way to play WITH IT, and not over it
3. Synced endzone fireworks

Have a team captain come out to midfield, and point at each side of the stadium on the opening 4 drum beats of the song. Light them up individually if possible. Then at 0:13 seconds, the endzone fireworks go off and the team runs out on the field.
Throw all $18 of our music budget at it
Already a song called "I Love LA" with room for places and street names in lyrics
Then there's always this classic:
Tough spot for the new assistant director of gameday experience..
AC/DC, Guns n Roses, etc will be boring, or at least "same old, same old" to the younger crowd we need
But most of the butts in the seats currently will be fans of that era of music
I'm sure they can find common ground between 70s music and today...
*INSERT RODNEY DANGERFIELD EYE ROLL*
Even my wife has said stuff like AC/DC or anything from the 70’s and 80’s and even 90’s is just way to old.
Thats why we need a committee put together of students and alumni, Assisstant Director of Bands, and the Director of Bands coming together to redo the entire pregame.
Also the coaches and student athletes should also have a say of what they would want to come out of the tunnel with.
Yes indeed..
It's a balancing act because students will want to play rap and Taylor Swift, which will of course be wildly unpopular with people who buy tickets..
You've gotta hit that sweet spot of songs that everyone can agree are jams no matter how old
