My morning complaint

I may not be the biggest softball fan, but I know softball is very important to a large number of Cajun fans, especially baseball fans.

How hard would it have been to move today's baseball game to 1100? Why not do something so simple for our most loyal fanbase?

This could have been done as soon as the girls won their game yesterday, and an announcement could have been made at yesterday's game .
I'm sure USA wouldn't mind getting home a little earlier, also.

Completely agree. Having both teams play at the same time THIS weekend doesn’t make much sense.

Not to mention, it could have given the travelling softball fanbases an opportunity to check out Russo and watch a little baseball

Same. I have tickets to both. Baseball seniors deserve the support. Softball also deserves support in their regional winner's bracket game.

They at least could have started baseball a little earlier... like noon... to allow fans to show up to honor the seniors, watch a little baseball, then proceed to softball if desired.

A little foresight would have been nice.

I have no information, but just want to offer a possible explanation. When the bracket was released, they already had the times posted. Could be at the mercy of ESPN. They want the games spaced out evenly through the day to maximize the opportunity for views.

I know that games move around due to weather. Maybe that’s one way ESPN lets you move it. Otherwise, it may be a “you’re playing at that time” thing.

Again, no idea of this is the case.

I think this is a little unfair. This is a huge game for South Alabama. Playing a game that early changes the routine for a team, something coaches hate.

While I agree it would be nice, it’s not as simple as “well let’s support softball.” South Alabama couldn’t care less about our softball team.

Long day yesterday. Big game today. UL athletics is subject to criticism, many times warranted. This is a little different.

Why would the USA coach agree to that? Or be expected to?
