Congrats to Coach Deggs and the Cajun players on an outstanding regular season. It is very difficult to win 40 games when you can only play a maximum of 56 games in the regular season.

And what a fantastic accomplishment to win 40, especially for a team that was 5-6 at one point and 9-8 at another.

31-8 is one hell of a run.

Winning 2/3 of your conference games will typically have you in the mix. S. Miss did that, and the Cajuns won the league by 3 full games…AND had the tiebreaker over USM.

Hopefully the damn committee gives us some respect and gives us a 2 seed to a decent regional host. Hopefully they don’t screw us at number one A&M and stick the team across the bayou as 3 seed to Indiana state usually what happens.
