There are more D1 pitchers that should be D3 pitchers than D3 pitchers that should be D1 pitchers

Very true. Lots of interchangability. From 100 RPI D1 down through top 50 D2, 90% of pitchers are interchangeable.

The top 20 D3 schools can be included in the group. Trinity, where D Mart8nez transferred from is usually in that group.

Pitching staffs start getting deeper above top 100 RPI and deeper still in top 50. Top 10 is obviously very deep.

The jury is still out on him belonging in our group. He has flashes of brilliance sandwiched between periods of mediocrity.

He’s an average D1 pitcher that needs some refining. And we have, what so far looks to be, a good pitching coach. Hopefully, if Jack is willing, his potential can be realized before he’s done as a Cajun

No doubt. Martinez didn’t even pitch bad today. The offense had what was probably their worst game of the year. And we don’t need to discuss what happened after Jack left the mound.

Some of you people on this board don’t have a clue about this game. Always easier to just complain about a loss. This team has 39 wins and may get to 40 but some of you clowns have no clue how hard it is to win that many baseball games in a 56 game regular season.

I think we get #40 tomorrow going into the SBC tourney. To be honest, South AL needs tomorrow more than we do, but I just have a feeling we win to get to 40.
