SB: Start Time Revised for Friday Action in NCAA Lafayette Regional

Due to the weather forecast for the Lafayette area on Friday evening, the game times for the opening round of the NCAA Lafayette Regional on Friday, May 17 at Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park have been moved up to earlier in the afternoon.

No. 13 national seed Louisiana (42-17) and Princeton (29-16) will now begin play on Friday at 12:00 p.m.

That will be followed by the Baylor-Ole Miss contest at 2:30 p.m.

A limited number of all-session tickets are on sale in advance and can be purchased at RaginCajuns.com/Tickets. Single-session passes will only be available on day of games.

Louisiana, the Sun Belt regular season champions five years running and winners of 40-plus games for the 25th straight season, earned the program's first national seed and NCAA Regional host site since 2016. It's the fifth time hosting a regional in the current postseason format (2012, 2014-16, 2024), and the 13th time overall.
