Yes will be difficult to start back tonight. I'd call it and finish tomorrow.

As far as earlier start time keep in mind a LOT has to happen. Concessions, game day staff etc. Not as straight forward as it seems. Definitely need a days notice to try and make work.

The forecast was also not real straight forward. Knew this was coming but timing has been tricky. Unfortunately same holds tomorrow. Expectation is for another round but timing is still questionable.

I will say . if Texas State makes the Sun Belt Tournament, I will be glad that the Cajuns will not face Cameron Bush again (he would be forced to pitch the Tuesday elimination game).

Higgs almost with an RBI single. Just missed it. I’ll give him partial credit for the good at bat.

Need that production from the 1-2 in the lineup.

Other than DeBarge, Trey is the most productive batter on the team.

Right on the borderline of whether you could bring him back for some outs on Saturday. The Cajuns would not play again until Wednesday . so that would be 3 full days' rest (and nearly 96 hours between pitches) . but Deggs might prefer to rest him until then.

For me . I would like to see LP throw more sliders and changes . simply to harness and develop more confidence in those pitches in preparation for the NCAA Tournament. It may be just me . but I remember LP throwing more sliders early in the season.

I did really like the approach the Cajuns took against a very good pitcher in Starling (high velo arm with a good slider). The slider is his lead pitch and the Cajuns were patient with it . drove the count . and hit good pitches.

I also very much like what the Cajuns showed what happens when you intentionally walk Debo. That is protection.
