"University of Louisiana Breaks Ground on Biosafety Level III Lab at NIRC"

This explains why LSU-E is getting monkey research facilities.

You bet. Louisiana State didn’t want anything to do with it until UL finally struck gold. UL-NI got too big for them to steal, so they’ll go the back door route with LSU-E. Then they’ll hire a president solely to siphon UL’s efforts like they did with Sean O’Keef and computer related private funding.

I’m beginning to despise EWE’s little country club he set up in Eunice.

NIRC has been around since the mid 80's. I wouldn't be too concerned with anything going on at LSU-E. I don't have inside info but the NIRC facility is large and I'd bet they really aren't looking at expanding the primate population beyond what they have right now.

The Level III bio lab is a lot more important development. There are only around 150 of those labs in the U.S. so matched with the current NIRC operations that is going to open a lot more doors.

LSU-E exists because UL wanted to open a New Iberia campus.

"No USL can not, no need. " emmediatly followed by "Eunice is such a nice place for LSU expansion"

Had a friend mucking cages in the 70s during the summer. Nicknamed “Jimmy the Ape”. Been around a long time.
