That was 2012. Finished with #12 adjusted rpi ranking at selection and hosted as a 14. Only 4 games against the rpi top 25 just doesn’t cut it. They didn’t have the #1 SOS that year either.

While I was off on hosting the answer remains, yes.

There is no way they should have had to face the #3 seed in the Supers.

Louisiana's overall #9 final RPI shows they were better than the committee's biased misthought.

I don't think any SEC based team had ever won the WCWS prior to 2012.
