This one is a 50-50. Brian has given all the info… just a matter of how much the head-to-head loss to Baylor hurts UL imo.

Do think if Baylor gets a regional, there will be criticism. I don’t think UL can rip committee in that scenario, but a couple other schools could b/c of multiple factors.

D1 softball has us at 14. Hosting UAlbany, Baylor, Ole Miss. Paired with Tennessee.

I think this is the fear many of us potentially see.

I think by the majority (if not all) of the metrics, Louisiana is a no-brainer over Baylor.

But if one of US is able to isolate one tangential variable and use that one variable as a reason for our exclusion, what is to stop committee members from identifying other tangential variables and using the accumulation of those other varianlesb to exclude Louisiana from hosting a regional?

Full disclosure, Louisiana shoul be 11, 12, or 13.

    IMHO

    I agree. I think Cajuns should be a 14maybe 15. Head-to-head should matter a lot.

But fortunately there’s a couple teams w/ a slightly better resume than Baylor. And UL has a better resume than those teams.

I'm thinking the Cajuns will be a number four matched up with Tennessee. Baylor, Ole Miss and Albany will be sent here. By no means an easy regional.

TSAB will be a number 5 seed matched up with Arkansas. They will get a cakewalk with their regional as Jackson State, Southeastern and Arizona will be sent to Baton Rouge.

Of course, I meant to say 14 instead of four.

12 5 matchup with TSAB is the lazy no brainer.

Texas #1. They look like they will cruise.

OU #2. Draws Boston in their regional which is intriguing. Oregon too.

#3 Tennessee. Could be matched up with them. Miami Oh there. They can swing. We know that too well.
