Yes ... Missouri has now moved up to #6 (.6670), ahead of #7 Tennessee (.6651) and #8 Georgia (.6647). The gap between the Cajuns at #9 and Georgia is .0053. Keep winning and the Cajuns may find themselves in the RPI Top 8.

Yes, the RPI impact is basically a wash. It is the RPI bonus that is important.

But I am concerned about Chattanooga remaining in the Base RPI Top 75 (currently #72 .5490). They trail UNCG 5-4, batting in the B4th with 2 outs and runners on 1st and 2nd. The loss of a .0026 RPI bonus will sting.

Brian, are we pulling for Florida or Georgia right now?

So we are Gator fans right now?!

I am pulling for Florida ... hoping that our winning (and a subsequent Florida loss) keeps us ahead of the Gators in RPI ranking ... and allows us to catch Georgia.

But as for national seeding, we will be behind both. That does not mean the highest RPI ranking possible is not important.

We are 1-1 against both Liberty and LaTech. I would wager that LIberty would be the better win since they have wins against LSU and us. And they swept LaTech..

No matter how much we deserve to host, I won't believe it until it actually happens. The committee has always been biased and found a way to punish us. Hope I'm wrong.

We want Tech to win this, else our RPI will suffer.

Last chance for Chattanooga in the B7th, trailing #128 UNCG (32-24) 5-4. 2,3,4 hitters are due up.

With a runner at first and 1 out, the Chattanooga batter walked ... putting runners at first and second. But Chattanooga commits a substitution error (player at-bat that just walked did not re-enter after being subbed for in the field) resulting in the batter being ruled out. Now 2 outs with a runner at first.

Good job by the UNCG coach to wait for the at-bat to complete ... and then call out the violation. You could hear the UNCG dugout erupt in cheers.
