Needed that as it allows us to keep a 2 game lead in conference instead of being tied.
Just started breathing again, man that was stressful.

Our boys responded when it mattered most. We have what it takes.
Thankfully Christie had enough left in the tank (after throwing 30 pitches Friday) to hold Troy off. It should be noted that Troy also came with their top middle reliever (Clete Hartzog) for the 10th inning. He threw 26 pitches Friday and 26 on Tuesday. He could not get it done either. Troy's top two relievers Manning and Hartzog got lit up today ... a combined 1.0 inning, 6 hits, 5 runs, 5 ER, 2 doubles, and 2 bombs.
Gutsy move to intentionally walk the winning run (Butcher) at the time with 2 outs. But with Brooks Bryan out of the game, I liked the move. Fortunately it paid off.
Brian
I pointed that out to my group. Guy who made the last out in the 9th should have been the national leader in RBIs at the plate.
I think both coaches thought the game was over at 11-5 in the 8th. Meade got his catcher off his feet. Cajuns staff took fluno out to get Etheridge some work.
Glad it bit them worse in the end.
Now I have to go get a new tube of Rolaids
Before anyone gets their panties in a wad, I’m not blaming the umpires for what occurred in the 9th. I’m fully aware that we were nowhere near the plate with a 6 run lead and that even if the bogus HBP is not called, we probably walk that guy anyway. This also has nothing to do with the crew on the field, but in the bottom of the 9th, in a crucial conference game with massive implications for both teams, you have an appeal down for a check swing to an umpire who is standing between the pitcher’s mound and the shortstop. In a league that wants to be taken seriously as a baseball conference on a national scale. We need to stop having vague conversations about the 4th umpire. “Oh some schools voted against it.” Name names. Let the people apply pressure. We should not be embarrassing ourselves for something that is not a budget breaking line item.
Coastal plays Ga.State next weekend.
If they don’t start winning a few games they are in danger of going from what looked like a host spot to not only missing a regional but not even qualifying for the conference tournament
Y'all get the hell out of Alabama, let's geaux
A little lipstick. Cajuns went 4-5 last 9 conference games. But rpi wise we went 4-4.1 I think. Haha
Current rpi adjusted record 30.4-15.8
