Interesting
I just did it that way for the 2013 numbers (because it was the fewest and fastest) and that’s what he did.
Sorry sir, but that’s not how ERA works.
Take the top 10 or so guys in innings pitched on each team. Add up all of the innings those guys have thrown (And fyi, when adding 20 and 20.1 it’s actually 20 and 20.33333, and 20.2 would be 20.66666). Save this total innings number.
Then add up the earned runs those same guys have allowed…and multiply that number by 9. Then divide that number by the total innings number to get the combined ERA of those 10 pitchers.
I just ran the top 10 in innings pitched for this years team and the combined ERA is 3.85
I’d be interested to see how that stacks up against the other seasons, but don’t have time to do that right now.

Louisiana website has 4.21 posted
I updated based off of your calculations and the updated team RPI for the top 10 each year are as follows:
2024: 4.3649
2013: 4.6898
2014: 3.3963
2015: 3.7871
2016: 3.6577
I tried adding the xlsx in the event I still didn't calculate it correctly. I just grab the numbers from ragincajuns.com though.
